There are days that we are craving something delicious but not that heavy in our tummy. I’ve been craving shawarma since last week.
When I was scrolling through my FoodPanda Mobile Application, I stumbled upon a selling shawarma restaurant named the Tokyo Skytea and clicked it right away. While checking their menu, I saw this “Taco & Shawarma Chicken.” Since I am craving shawarma and I love eating Tacos, I gave it a try.
I haven’t tried their smoothie; maybe on my next order, I’ll give it a try.
The Taco and shawarma and Fries are both affordable. So if you want to eat delicious food without spending too much penny, then this restaurant is perfect for you.
Taco & Shawarma Chicken
Fries
For my final thoughts, we enjoyed eating these foods. I shared it with my brother because their serving is perfect for two people. My brother also likes the taste of their shawarma meat. They perfectly added every amount of ingredient/toppings to their Taco & Shawarma, and Fries. Plus, all these are for a very affordable price. You’ll satisfy your cravings without spending too much.
I will buy again to try their other foods, and I will recommend this restaurant to my friends, especially to those who live in Cavite. It’s a must-try!

Before this month ends, I want to have a self-appreciation. I recently used my Instagram filters. It looks so vintage and aesthetic to me, but since it enhances the bright pink color side of a picture, you’ll notice the small pimple on my chin.
I’ve been experiencing lately the “mask-ne” or the acne caused by wearing a mask. But it’s not a big deal tho. I have skincare products that would help me get rid of these zits.
I am a naturally born pure Filipino. I do have a very Asian face. Small eyes, fuller lips, a small nose, and dark brown eyes (not visible, it looks more on the black side).
Taking selfies is my favorite way of appreciating myself. I’m Kima, and I am proud to be a Filipino, I am proud to be an Asian.
Last time, I posted on how to start a blog, use the right platforms, problems encountered on blogging, and helpful mobile apps for blogging.
In this post, I will share my thoughts regarding why you should choose a free platform over a paid one. My thoughts are my experiences in this field. I have ten reasons to share with you that a free platform is enough for you and your blog, these are:
Budget
Trying Things Out
Sharing Ideas with the Community
Online Diary
Consistent
Niche
School Projects or Portfolio
A subdomain isn’t an issue
Time Management
Blogging Needs
1. Budget
Well, budget is the first thing to consider when it comes to blogging. If you’re a beginner and you only want to try how blogging works, then a free platform is very much recommended for you.
2. Trying things out
If you only want to try specific codes or how the themes work, or you just saw a blog, and you want to try it out, then a free platform is very much recommended.
3. Sharing Ideas with the Community
Sharing ideas is a fun way to communicate with our friends and family. Using a free platform is a great way to start sharing, especially if your community is on that platform. Like Instagram, if you have outstanding photos that you want to share and get exposure. It is one of the most popular platforms for pictures/images; Medium, if you love sharing stories with other people. It is also an incredible free platform that I will recommend to you. These are some of the free platforms you can consider, and there are still more helpful and user-friendly free platforms that you can choose.
4. Online Diary
Most bloggers use their blogs as online diaries or online journals. So probably, you want to document certain happenings in your life and your journey. So with this, a free platform is very much recommended, especially if you have no plans to grow your blog in the future.
5. Consistent
Consistently is one of the critical things you must consider before starting a blog. How sure are you that you can be consistent from day one until the future of your blog? If you know that you are not yet ready to commit to your blog and you’re just experimenting, then a free platform is what you need.
6. Niche
Niche is significant to blogging because it is a way to know your branding and what your blog/site can offer. If you still don’t know what kind of niche you will pursue, but; You want to start blogging to enhance your skills, then a free blogging platform is a suitable choice. Here you can create a blog while still improving and sorting out your ideas on what niche you should focus on without spending.
7. School Projects or Portfolio
When your teacher or professor asks you to make a website or host a site from scratch, then a free blogging platform is an excellent idea to do your projects. When I was in my high school years, my teacher asked me to build a website for the portfolios of our upcoming projects using HTML. I made mine using Blogger.com, and that was the start of my blogging journey because I enjoyed doing it. I spend my break time in our computer lab playing around with Blogger.com. Blogger is one of the best free blogging platforms that I will recommend.
8. A Subdomain isn’t an issue
Before, when I was using the free blogging platform, my site name was (yoursite.blogspot.com and yoursite.wordpress.com). I have tried both free platforms, and they are both excellent and user-friendly. I will make a separate blog post about the difference between the two free platforms. So if using a subdomain isn’t an issue for you, then I highly suggest that you choose a free blogging platform. But there are still free blogging platforms that allow you to use your Domain name if you already have one.
9. Time management
Time management is essential for blogging, especially if you’re planning to grow and earn from it. Some small businesses invest their time in blogging for growth, exposure, and page views. So if you have no plan to make money from your blog or invest a lot of time and effort into it, then a free blogging platform is enough for your needs.
10. Blogging Needs
Suppose you don’t need so much power and control for your blogs, such as different plugins, and you have no plans to install security and flexibility. And you don’t want to use premium themes that are very responsive on desktop or mobile views. If you have no plan to own it with your unique branding; then, a free blogging platform is definitely for you.
These are my ten reasons to choose free blogging platforms. But again, these are only my advice and suggestions; always remember at the end of the day, you are still in charge of what kind of platform you’re going to use.
I hope I was able to help you decide on your blogging journey. Feel free to comment down below if you have questions or qualifications. You may click the contact button on the menu to send a private message.
There comes a time when we’re all fed up, we hate everyone, and we want to disappear in this wicked world, and I felt it too. Sometimes, my past haunts me, and I remember every single detail of pain and regret. How can I ever forget those if I can remember every scenario of my life?
Even just a simple thing can lead to an all-day chaotic mind. I didn’t want it, but how can I even resist if I was born with it? I envy those people who can just let everything slide and think what they want to believe. Those people who don’t overthink a lot and chill and relax without worries; How blessed are they?
I entitled this post as It’s Okay, Not to Be Okay because it is customary to encounter bad days. We are just humans who have a lot of challenges and struggles in life. But the most crucial thing in this is that we learn and grow.
Recently, my anxiety has kept on attacking me due to some unexpected events and happenings in my life. It was tough to handle because I was so in pain. My headaches and my mind keep on flashing a series of events. After such attacks, I asked myself, why? Why did I let all this happen? Why didn’t I protect myself from manipulative people? I owe so many apologies to myself for being fragile and dumb.
But now, my only wish for myself is to be okay. To stop hating other people for hurting me, to stop regretting because I trusted the people I thought I should, to stop hating myself for being weak, and to stop living in the past; Because I know that I’m the only one who can help and protect myself from everyone.
I hope this is the last time I will ever cry from the painful past that I encountered. I also wish that I could give forgiveness to those people who hurt me multiple times. I’m not doing it for them, but I’m doing it for myself and peace of mind.
Due to the stress and pollution I am encountering, and I needed effective yet mild skincare products to keep my skin healthy and nourished.
I don’t usually follow the 10 Steps Korean Skincare of others that include so many different kinds of products with different uses. Maybe one of the factors is that I don’t use, wear, or apply makeup every day, so I don’t need to do heavy wash or whatever to do to my face, to make it clean and clear.
I will share with you my most used skincare products this month of July. Every month I have a skincare set favorite that I might feature on my blog posts. So for this month, my skin is in love with Simple Skincare Products. I use these three products every day which helps me to achieve the cleanliness, smoothness, and control oil that I’m aiming for.
Oil Be Gone Micellar Water
A daily skin detox makeup remover to some, but I use it as a cleanser because it is gentle and mild on my face. Also, what I like about this micellar water is that it does the job of removing dirt and impurities on my face. It leaves my skin clean and soft.
SIMPLE Oil Be Gone Micellar Water
Clear Pore Scrub
This is a daily skin detox scrub specially designed for oily skin. It helps to eliminate clogged pores and removes oils and sebum, leaving my skin clean and healthy. This daily facial scrub contains beneficial ingredients that help my skin. These are thyme, zinc, witch hazel, and bamboo exfoliators. The formula aims to gently exfoliate away excess oil to prevent new blemishes and leave the skin smooth.
SIMPLE Clear Pore Scrub
Hydrating Light Moisturizer
This light moisturizer is my favorite so far. I like the product consistency because it is very lightweight; it is more likely a lotion type but not too sticky. It absorbs my skin well with no white cast or oiling of my face. Before, I usually use moisturizer at night because I was scared to suffer from too much oiliness in the morning, but this hydrating light moisturizer is phenomenal. It hydrates my skin well and leaves a fresh feeling that I can spend my whole day without worrying.
SIMPLE Hydrating Light Moisturizer
For my final thoughts and verdict about these skincare products, all I can say is that it does the job and its claims by making my skin healthy, smooth, and well-hydrated even though I have oily skin. I don’t even mind using blotting paper because it controls my oil production, and I’m delighted with that.
Plus, it doesn’t have harmful chemicals, and that’s why I will recommend this product to oily and sensitive skin types but make sure to do a skin test or patch test first to know if you are allergic to it. Also, what works for me may not work for you, so be careful in finding the right products for you and your skin.
During the pandemic season, our travel adventures are affected, and as a result, we spend most of our time at home with our loved ones.
Spending a lot of time at home is crucial because it’s time-consuming. After all, I felt so unproductive and boring.
Since I was planning for my career change, I stumbled on these two platforms that caught my attention. I’m not saying that these two platforms are the best among others, but instead, these two helped me choose the career that I am aiming for.
I enrolled in the Writing Your First Novel course by David Wheeler at Coursera and a Blogging for Beginners course by Tyler Speegle at Udemy. These two are free unless you buy their certification. (I’m still planning if I will get a certificate or not)
I have a challenging journey with my career, but I will not give up until I become successful.
Hello everyone, I hope you are all well despite this heavy rainy season.
I am currently on the edge of planning to change my career. I will do a separate post about it. So now, I’m attending free online courses and still planning on getting the paid online classes for my career.
Recently, I started enrolling in Coursera on writing a novel course. I want to learn new things that I know I am competitive and passionate about applying and developing my character.
Writing is one of my outlets in this painful world. I’m still focusing on finding the path that is meant for me to be successful and stable.
I still envy those people who can do anything in any field without struggling because they are naturally born geniuses. (Sana all)
Planning to enroll in the Google IT Support courses, and I applied for Financial Aid. They will email me after 15 days upon application if I am eligible or not.
I will still share my career change journey and the dos and don’ts that I will encounter. If you are like me, planning to change career, kindly comment on how it goes and the outcome. I love reading such stories.
I recently started blogging last July 12, 2021, with my chosen hosting partner, Dreamhost. I enjoy every day with my blog because I love designing, posting, tweaking my site, and sharing my posts for exposure.
However, not every day is my day. So here are the three problems that I have encountered with blogging.
1. Slow Website
I’m not a techy person, but since I am watching a series of videos about speeding up the load of a website, I became conscious because mine loads forever. Many bloggers use free plugins, but most common vloggers recommend the paid plugin to speed up their site.
It is a pain in the ass because I just recently started, and I can’t commit to getting paid plugins for my blog. Maybe if my exposure and page views increased and I started earning, then I guess I could do some upgrades, but now, the only thing that I can do is embrace those free plugins that can still help me and my website. I will make a separate post about it.
2. Blog Exposure
Honestly, it didn’t cross my mind to earn many page views or readers before, but now, I want to reach more page views and readers.
Blogging isn’t a one-time big shot. Blogging takes a lot of time and effort to grow and develop. I recently just started and aiming for thousands of views. It’s pretty challenging yet not impossible. I have to focus on this to grow. Some bloggers took years before they started earning page views, readers, and money.
3. Budget
I don’t have a big budget for my blog. I’m not yet stable because I have many things that need more priority over blogging. But, it doesn’t mean that my blog will not grow; it will just take a lot of time to develop.
If you are a blogger who wants to invest an enormous amount in it, then I suggest you start growing your blog now. Buy paid plugins that will help the performance of your blog, buy premium themes to have a more professional experience and gain more opportunities, and engage with paid blogging courses (but there are a lot of free blogging courses that I’m also using) for you to learn how other bloggers became successful, and a lot more.
These are the problems I encountered, but I’m still doing my best to work on them. Some of my concerns aren’t a big deal because there’s always an alternative solution for every problem that I am experiencing.
July is the month for graduation, and many students unlocked a new achievement to start the real journey of life.
Some students are nervous and still confused about what course they are taking. What field they will excel in and where they will grow?
I will give six things a student must consider in choosing a college course.
1. College Course that you Want
You have to follow your heart. You have to choose the course that you know you will enjoy and grow. Considering further advice from your family, friends, or relatives is okay, but at the end of the day, the final decision must be your interest and the field that you know you can handle until the end.
The common mistake of some students who shift from one course to another is they don’t like the course that they choose and enroll in because their parents told them to choose it, or they are undecided. That’s why they decide what they think is easy.
2. Hobby or interest
If you are good at a particular subject and at the same time you’re enjoying it, then you must consider that field to be your college course.
If you’re good at cooking and arrangements of foods, then you can consider culinary courses and other related courses. Always remember that choose the field that you enjoy and you’re passionate about doing.
3. Your Dream Job/Career in the Future
If you’re dreaming of becoming a doctor, then choose the right pre-med course that would help you to achieve it.
In every career and job that we want to be and have, there’s always an equivalent college course to take it. So you have to choose wisely by weighing out your strengths and weaknesses.
4. Your dream university
Some students chose their dream university and enrolled in a random course to enter their dream university.
Choosing a random course isn’t an issue, especially when you know that you can survive the path that you prefer as long as you believe in yourself that no matter what you do, you can get the diploma from your dream university and something to be proud of your achievement.
5. Budget
Not all of us are born with a lot of money. If you want a course that will cost you a lot, you should consider your expenses and source of income before enrolling. On the other hand, many scholarships might be suitable for you to pursue your dreams. You only need to comply with the given requirements and maintain the grade that a particular curriculum requires.
Some students are studying in the morning and working at night to pursue and get the diploma they are aiming for to make their parents proud and build a better life.
6. IQ Level
If you are an average person, it doesn’t mean that you’re less than the others. There’s a lot of room for improvement in order for you to grow and develop yourself.
So choose the course that you think you can learn. It will always be depending on where you are good at the most because it is tough to choose a path that you’re not good enough and at the same time, it is heartbreaking.
So these are just pieces of information about choosing the right college course that will be suitable for you. Entering college is not a joke because it is the preliminary step for your future. However, don’t forget to enjoy and make more memories in your college life.
Honestly, I’m 26 years of age and still living with my parents. Most of the time, I was thinking about the future that I dreamed of. Why am I only here? No significant achievements yet, no house, no car, and no love life.
Whenever I see some posts of other people on social media flexing their achievements, activities, careers, or relationship status, I feel sad and insecure.
But then I realized that I should learn to appreciate what I have been working on now and then. I should learn to appreciate what God gave me because I’m still lucky to have my degree, job, family with me, friends, and myself.
I was so affected by other people’s achievements because I kept comparing my shoes to theirs, yet I didn’t realize that we have our chapters, our journeys, and our own lives. It doesn’t mean that we’re all in the same boat because we have different trips and challenges based on our experiences.
In that way, I should learn to love myself more, focus on where I’m good at, and do my best to excel and succeed. It is a matter of time and phases. Also, instead of feeling sad and insecure about others, I should learn how to appreciate their journey and achievements because they work hard for them.
I believe this isn’t my time, yet it doesn’t mean that I can’t do more. I will do my very best to achieve all of my dreams for myself and my family
